How to collect and upload 3PAR data (InSplore)

Procedure for SP version 5

1. Log in to the 3par service console through the Service Processor IP address. Open up a web browser and enter the IP address or hostname of the service processor connected to 3PAR and log on with service processor credentials.

2. In the upper corner, Click on Systems from the Storage Systems option.

Select the system name to get the logs.

3. Then, from the Actions drop-down menu, Select the Collect Support Data

4. As shown in the below Collect Support Data Window.

Select all the below check boxes and click select.

5. Check the logs running in progress.

6. Once the log is generated successfully, Choose the file option.

7. Choose the Insplore file as below.

8. Download is possible now to the local machine.


Procedure for SP version 4

1. Log in to the 3par service console through the Service Processor IP address. Open up a web browser and enter the IP address or hostname of the service processor connected to 3PAR and log on with service processor credentials.

2. Click on Support and from the Storage Systems option, click Insplore under Actions

3. A popup window will show the process of log collection

4. Logs can be downloaded from the Files option.

5. Click on the folder with the 3PAR serial number and then click on the Insplore folder.

6. Downloaded files to the local machine as well as File transfer will be possible now.


How to upload Data in ZENfra

Uploading Data manually into ZENfra

1. Navigate to Data Upload → Data Upload → Log Upload.

2. Select on the "Upload Data" option.

3. Select "Storage" option.

4. Select the "3PAR (InSplore)" option.

5. Click on the “Select Files to Upload” button to choose the files or drag the files from your system to the area above this button.

6. Click on the “Upload” button for just uploading the log file or click on the “Upload & Process” button to upload the log and parse the data from the log file. Click on the “+” button to upload additional logs.

7. The Status Field of the "Uploaded Data History" table shows the status of the file processing. Once the report is generated, the status will be changed to "Successfully Processed"
