Xray collection with the XIV Storage Management GUI

1) Launch the XIV GUI and login with your administrative account

2) Navigate to the Tools menu and select Collect Support Logs

3) From the collect and send dialog box click start 1 Xray collection with the XIV Storage

4) In the Set PMR Prefix dialog box enter the PMR number and click on “ok”.

Important: Please contact IBM Software Support for the PMR number. An example of valid PMR number entered in the PMR Prefix Field is 12345,123,000. After entering the pmr number xray collection begins. After the XRAY collection is completed file retrival process begins and the xray is saved locally.

The logs are uploaded automatically to IBM and IBM Software Support will automatically be notified. File is stored locally in

C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/XIV/GUI12/xray_logs

Note: If you are not able to upload the XRAY Package using the GUI then use the manual steps for file upload.

How to upload Data in ZENfra

1. Navigate to Data Upload → Data Upload → Log Upload.

2. Select the "Upload Data" option.

3. Select the "Storage" option.

4. Select the INFINIDAT option.

5. Click on “Select Files to Upload” button to choose the files or drag the files from your system to the area above this button.

6. Click on “Upload” button for just uploading the log file or click on “Upload & Parse” button to upload the log and parse the data from log file. Click on “+” button to upload additional logs.

7. Data collection steps and instructions are described under "View Guide” button. Choose INFINIDAT  log type to view the details.

8. Once the file has been parsed successfully, in the Status column of the Imported Data History table, you can see the “Successfully Parsed” message. If the file has been failed to parse then you will see a “Parse Failed” message in the status column.
