How to collect and upload NETAPP data

NetApp - AutoSupport Method
1. Login into the NetApp controller’s console with root/admin privilege
2. Run the following command
3. A new folder and files will be created in the /vol/vol0/etc/log/autosupport directory. The current date and time will be used for the folder and seen in the created/modified timestamp fields
4. Mount that path with NFS, or access it through a CIFS share in order to copy those files onto your system
5. Pull files from the newly created folder on the /vol/vol0/etc/log/autosupport directory to your local machine
6. Compress all files, folders, and zip files in one compressed file
7. Name the compressed file as <Fabric Name>_<log collection date (mm/dd/yyyy)>.zip

NetApp C-Mode - Manual Method
Version 9.2 and later
1. Login into the Node to collect the logs.
2. Run the below commands.
Version 8.3 to 9.1
1. Login into the Node to collect the logs.
2. Run the below command to collect the logs:
Version 8.2 and earlier
1) Run the below commands:
::> set diag
::*> systemshell -node <node_name>
Create the /mroot/etc/crash/support directory if it does not already exist:
sudo mkdir /mroot/etc/crash/support
2) Run the below command to collect the logs:
sudo tar -cLvzf /mroot/etc/crash/support/Netapp_`date +%Y%m%d-%H%M%S`.`hostname`_etc-logs.tar.gz --exclude stats /mroot/etc/log
NetApp E-Series
Login into SANtricity (Array Management Console)
Go to Summary
Select “View Storage Array Profile”
Select “All”
And Save As “NetApp-E-ModelNumber-YYYYMMDD.txt”

How to upload Data in ZENfra
Uploading Data manually into ZENfra
1. Navigate to Data Upload → Data Upload → Log Upload.

2. Select the "Upload Data" option.

3. Select the "Storage" option.

4. Select the "NETAPP" option

5. Click on the “Select Files to Upload” button to choose the files or drag the files from your system to the area above this button.

6. Click on the “Upload” button for just uploading the log file or click on the “Upload & Process” button to upload the log and parse the data from the log file. Click on the “+” button to upload additional logs.

8. The Status Field of the "Uploaded Data History" table shows the status of the file processing. Once the report is generated, the status will be changed to "Successfully Processed"
