- Click on the ‘Import Button’ to initiate the first step of the log uploading process.
- This action will redirect you to another page where you can select the Type of Log you intend to upload, as well as specify the Preferred Method for log uploading.

- Begin by choosing the Specific Device Type for which you intend to upload the data log.
- By following these steps, you will accurately specify the device type and data format, ensuring a seamless and precise log data upload process.

After selecting the log upload method, you will be redirected to a page offering two distinct options.
1. Import From Your Computer
2. Import From Data Repository
Import From Your Computer

- Choose the option 'Import from Your Computer' to manually upload the log file from your local device.
- Click on the area, 'Drop Files Here' or 'Click to Upload'.
- This action will open the file explorer window, allowing you to navigate to and select the desired log file.
- You can complete the manual log uploading process by either dragging and dropping the file into the designated area or by clicking the 'Open' button.

- You will be navigated to the page where it asks for Import Method with 2 Options – Import Only or Import and Process
If You Select the Import Only Option

- The selected log(s) will be imported successfully without starting the parsing process, And it will be visible to you in the import data history table as shown in the above picture.

- Now, you should click on the parse button manually to start the parsing process when you need it.

- By clicking the parse button, the parsing process will begin. You should wait patiently until your log gets the parsing process complete.
(The parsing process time will be based on the size of your log’s file size, so kindly be patient until the process finishes.)

- Once the parsing process is completed, it will indicate to you as shown in the above picture.
- By moving your cursor to the status bar of the specific log, you will get a popup box containing the info about the missing data in your log file with a criticality level, only if it misses any important data. If your log contains all the required data, then you get a successfully processed status alone without any indications.
(NOTE – When multiple logs are uploaded simultaneously, only one log will be parsed at a time, with additional files being queued. The next file in the queue will begin parsing once the current log's process is complete.)
If You Select the Import and Upload Option

- The manual initiation of the parsing process is skipped if you select the import and process option; the log file automatically begins the parsing process once the uploading is complete.
Import From Data Repository

- Prior to using the 'Import from Data Repository' option, you should have knowledge about the Data Collection Feature. So kindly go through the ZENfra Data Collection Instructions (Direct Collection / ZENCollector Collection) Document for users to use this import option.
- Thoroughly review the Data Collection manual to gain an understanding of the term 'Configured Repositories'.
- So, the Repositories which are available under the ‘Data Collection’ menu, will also be displayed here as shown in the above picture. This is another way for collecting the logs by using the configured collection Repository from this page.
