ZENfra Rules And Rulesets Instructions

RULES

The rules feature in ZENfra empowers users to create customized data filtration based on specified logic, facilitating a segmented view of the data. This functionality streamlines the decision-making process, allowing users to analyze data quickly and accurately. By enabling users to effortlessly audit the complete data table with just a single click on the established rule(s).

How to Create Rules

Step 1: Navigating to the Rule Creation Page

  • In every report on the Analytical page, locate the 'ZI' (ZENfra Intelligence) Button positioned at the top right corner above the table.
  • Click on the 'ZI' (ZENfra Intelligence) button to reveal a side panel.
  • Within the side panel, find and click on the 'New Rule' button.
  • Upon clicking the 'New Rule' Button, you will be directed to the rule creation page, where you can define and set up specific rules for auditing.

Step 2: Introduction to the Rule Creation Page

In the rule creation page, you will have below-mentioned fields for creating the rule:

  • Rule Name: This field is mandatory and is used to assign a name to the rule.

  • Rule Type: Choose between two options for rule creation: 'Pattern Rule' and 'Validation Rule.'

  • Field Name: This section displays a list of field names for reference and enables you to drag and drop the names to assign conditions for each field.
  • Condition (AND): This section employs the AND condition formula method. Select the field name(s) for which you want to apply the logical conditions. Choose the appropriate logical condition from the drop-down options and enter the value(s) for the selected condition. You can add multiple conditions for one field or multiple fields for a single condition.

  • Condition (OR): This section utilizes the OR condition formula method. Select the field name(s) for which you want to apply the logical conditions. Choose the appropriate logical condition from the drop-down options and enter the value(s) for the selected condition. You can add multiple conditions for one field or multiple fields for a single condition. It is possible to provide both AND and OR conditions for your rule.
  • Actions Section:
  1. Choose the highlight color for the rule output.
  2. Specify how the output value should be highlighted, including options such as highlighting the font, entire row, or only the value.
  3. Assign a severity level to the rule, such as High, Medium, or Low.
  4. Provide a validation note, which adds an additional column in the analytical table, displaying the specified description if the rule condition matches that row.
  • Visibility: Utilize the option to share the created rule(s) with other users.

Step 3: Explanation with Example

Refer to the attached pictures for a step-by-step understanding of the rule-creation process. Below I have provided an example with an explanation for your understanding.

The Output for The Above-Mentioned Example Rules Configuration

Rule 1 Output:

The table data has been successfully filtered based on the configuration of 'Rule 1' Additionally, the newly added columns for 'Severity' and 'Validation Notes' in accordance with the provided rule are visible, facilitating a more comprehensive and organized view of the data.

Rule 2 Output:

The table data has been successfully filtered based on the configuration of 'Rule 2' Additionally, the newly added columns for 'Severity' and 'Validation Notes' in accordance with the provided rule are visible. Also, you see the values only highlighted according to my rule 2 configuration.

Output of Applying Both Rules (At the Same):

Through the application of both rules at the same time, the displayed output, as depicted in the provided picture, showcases the effective utilization of the rule feature in ZENfra. You can see that the Validation Notes also have been displayed in a comma separator if a particular row matches both the rules. This also applies to the severity column if 2 or 3 different severities lie on the same row. This functionality enables users to make prompt and precise decisions, thereby enhancing overall efficiency and data-driven decision-making processes.

RULESET

If you wish to display the complete dataset with a comprehensive view of multiple rules applied, the 'Ruleset' feature in ZENfra serves this purpose. Through the creation of a ruleset, users can simultaneously apply multiple rules by incorporating them into the ruleset. Moreover, the feature enables users to review data that does not comply with the defined rules. This functionality enhances the versatility of data analysis and facilitates a thorough examination of the entire dataset.

Step 1: Navigating to the Ruleset Creation Page

  • Click the three dots adjacent to ZENfra Intelligence to reveal a drop-down menu.
  • Select the "Manage Rules" option from the menu to navigate to the Rule(s) and Ruleset(s) Information page.
  • On this page, you can view comprehensive details about the existing rules and perform actions such as editing or deleting rules using the icons under the 'Actions' field.
  • Locate the 'Ruleset(s)' tab positioned above the table and click on it to access the ruleset information page.
  • To create a new ruleset, click the 'New Ruleset' button located at the top right corner of the page. This action will direct you to the ruleset creation page.

Step 2: Ruleset Configuration

In the Ruleset Creation Page, you have the below-mentioned field to create the ruleset;

  • Ruleset Name: Provide a name for the ruleset (mandatory).
  • Available Rules: Displays the list of existing rules.
  • Rules Mapped with Ruleset: Drag and drop rules from the existing rules list.

  • Click the 'Save' button in the top right corner.
  • You will then be redirected to the ZENfra Intelligence Ruleset(s) Information page, where you can view the newly created ruleset information.
  • Click the 'Close' button at the top right corner of the page to exit the ZENfra Intelligence Information page.

Step 3: Ruleset Output

  • Within the Report of the Analytical page, locate the created Ruleset.
  • Click on the ruleset name to apply it to the dataset.
  • View the dataset, displaying both non-matching normal values and highlighted rule-matching values (according to the user-defined highlighting style).
  • This process enables users to apply multiple rules to the dataset seamlessly with a single click and review the entire dataset with highlighted rule-matching values.
